My Experience with Penile Girth Enhancement and Glans Enlargement Surgery
Penile girth enhancement: Allograft dermal graft
Glans enlargement: Allograft dermal powder
Doctor: Dr. Zhu O-Cheng
Clinic: Minquan OO Urology Clinic
Why I Decided to Have This Surgery
I believe every guy has thought about this at some point! If he could make his penis bigger, he’d definitely want to!
So I spent several years gathering information, researching, and considering it, and of course, I did plenty of homework.
But given the sensitive nature of the area and the fact that this procedure is usually only done once, choosing a provider is especially important. I’d naturally recommend comparing your options carefully.
Over the years, I consulted with three or four clinics in northern, central, and southern Taiwan that perform this type of surgery.
I even visited specialists known for these procedures, as well as experts who had returned from training in Korea, to consult with them in person and learn more.
Each doctor showed me photos of their results, and in recent years, it has also become possible to find related information online.
After weighing several factors, I chose Dr. Zhu at Minquan O-Rui.
The clinic offers an official LINE account, or you can book online through the clinic. Set up a consultation appointment before you go.
Understanding My Needs
On the day of the consultation, a counselor first helped explain the key points of the procedure.
Then, during my consultation with the doctor, he provided relevant professional information and recommendations.
Since we’re both men, he understood my needs, and the process naturally didn’t feel awkward.
I felt comfortable bringing up my questions and needs openly. After discussing them with the doctor, we found the approach that suited me best!
Enlargement had always been on my bucket list, and since I’d done my homework, this part moved along quickly.
Assessing My Current Situation
An important part of the consultation is first assessing your current situation by taking measurements!
I recommend taking some time beforehand to prepare photos from different angles:
Photos of the penis when flaccid, including its length, circumference, and views from the left and right sides, and
photos of the penis when erect, including its length, circumference, and views from the left and right sides.
These will help the doctor determine which graft size is suitable for you.
The procedure also includes treating the foreskin, so whether or not you’ve been circumcised, there’s no need to worry!
After the consultation, you can go home and think it over carefully. Only decide to have the surgery if you really feel ready.
The Surgery
On the day of surgery, the doctor will go over and confirm the surgical process, materials, and procedural details once again. The surgery will begin only after everything has been confirmed.
The procedure is performed under twilight sedation. After the anesthesiologist checks in with you, the surgery is performed painlessly while you are in a relaxed, light sleep. (Pain-free upgrade! LEVEL UP!)
Penile Girth Enhancement
The doctor uses an allograft dermal graft to increase penile circumference. I chose a graft measuring 5 cm wide x 6 cm long x 5 mm thick. The size of the graft depends on each person’s needs and individual circumstances, so I recommend having the doctor assess you before making a decision.
For the glans, 1 cc of allograft dermal powder is injected. There are two approaches to enlargement:
-
One is to inject evenly throughout the glans to enlarge it overall.
-
The other is to inject along the rim of the glans, emphasizing the projection of its lower edge, also known as the crown style.
Since I was considering having the second approach done after I recovered, I chose the first approach and had the entire glans injected to make it look fuller.
Doctors at different clinics may approach this somewhat differently. I’ve also heard of doctors at other clinics using hyaluronic acid injections.
Why Have Glans Enlargement at the Same Time?
This mainly comes down to personal preference and whether it matters to you. Before surgery, my glans and shaft were about the same circumference.
Many of the doctors I consulted mentioned that most men in Taiwan have a glans that is slightly larger than the shaft.
After girth enhancement, the glans can look proportionally smaller compared to the shaft.
So personally, I’d recommend having them enlarged together! Enlarging the glans and shaft together gives you better visual proportions after surgery and is more practical!
Recovery After Surgery
On the day of surgery, I only felt a slight sense of swelling. The anesthesia meant I could barely feel anything, so urinating at first was a little difficult. But as the anesthesia gradually wore off, that eased.
Besides taking anti-inflammatory and pain medication on schedule as directed, if you’re still worried about pain, you can also ask your doctor to give you a pain-relief injection.
After that, you need to return to the clinic every day for dressing changes and have the doctor check how the wound is healing to make sure it hasn’t become inflamed.
Both absorbable and non-absorbable sutures are used to close the wound.
So for about a week after surgery, sponge baths are recommended. Wait until the doctor says, based on the wound’s condition, that you can shower again.
Try to keep the wound from coming into direct contact with water and keep it dry; this helps with recovery. The doctor and nursing staff will carefully guide you and check in on you as you care for the wound after surgery, so there’s no need to worry too much.
Once the wound is more stable, you can change the dressing and bandage it yourself at home.
During recovery, the only times I felt particularly uncomfortable were when I had a morning erection or got an erection in the middle of the night. I sometimes felt a stinging or tight sensation.
This is mainly because right after surgery, your body is still adjusting to the graft, and the graft needs time to develop a blood supply and integrate with your own tissue.
Right after surgery, the graft makes it feel as though the penis is constantly semi-erect. The swelling during erections gradually subsides over time, and the feel also becomes more natural.
I may have had fewer issues with swelling around the circumcision incision because I’d already been circumcised. Overall, my recovery went quite smoothly.
