Hi everyone, I’m Dr. Chu Hsin Cheng, the GG Aesthetic Specialist, and I specialize in penile enlargement and girth enhancement surgery.
This has been a long time coming… This time, I’d like to share two approaches to penile enlargement surgery.
Recently, a patient who wanted dermal graft penile enlargement surgery came to my clinic. He works in logistics and spends every day moving goods around a warehouse. He had very clear requirements for the surgery:
1. A short recovery period
2. Minimal impact on his ability to work
3. He didn’t want a circumcision
Given his physically demanding job, I recommended a base incision. How does it differ from the traditional incision? Here’s a table with the bottom line first.
You’re probably wondering, “Dr. Chu, if the incision is at the base, how do you get the graft to the front?”
Overview of the Penile Enlargement Procedure Using a Base Incision
It’s a lot like “taking off a glove” or “turning a sock inside out”:
1. Separation: Make a 3 cm incision at the base and separate the foreskin from the erectile tissue.
2. Inversion: Like taking off a sock, turn the erectile tissue inside out.
3. Suturing the dermal graft: Precisely suture the dermal graft to the fascial layer of the erectile tissue, then push the skin back into place, like turning a sock right side out.
4. Closing the incision: Suture the incision in layers and apply waterproof gel.
Benefits of Penile Enlargement with a Base Incision
-
Less pain: The incision is at the base, so nighttime erections don’t tug on it, greatly reducing pain.
-
Faster recovery: The incision is smaller, so recovery is quicker and work and daily life are less affected.
-
Easy aftercare: No dressing changes are needed, saving you the hassle of changing gauze and applying ointment. You can shower just two days after surgery.
-
Aesthetic: Once the pubic hair grows back, the scar is almost invisible.
Why not? It sounds like it has so many benefits, so why doesn’t everyone choose a base incision?
A Base Incision Isn’t Right for Everyone
Although a base incision has many advantages, it’s important to emphasize that there are no absolutes in medicine—only what’s “right for you.”
In the following cases, I would instead recommend a “circumcision incision”:
1. Severe phimosis or an excessively long foreskin: If you have a tight foreskin ring and can’t expose the glans, the foreskin should be treated anyway to achieve better overall proportions.
2. Revision of an old scar: If you’re unhappy with the appearance or symmetry of a previous circumcision scar, we can revise it as part of this surgery to improve the appearance of the foreskin.
Conclusion
Postoperative care is always an important part of enlargement surgery. Modern life is fast-paced and busy, so aftercare should be as convenient as possible. Penile enlargement through a base incision offers an attractive appearance, faster recovery, and easy aftercare—benefits that suit the needs of most men.
